Pumpkins

Every year we fail at growing pumpkins, yet we always attempt. I think we do it for the girls. The powdery mildew takes over, but we usually get at least a single small gourd. That's enough to bring a smile and to decorate with.  Keep those fingers crossed!

Surgeon General's Warning

Our home looks like a tropical resort with large plant leaves decorating our walls, but these are not palm fronds they're tobacco leaves! We will hang them to cure in the attic for a year and hopefully be able to smoke 'em up shortly after that! Our kind neighbor, Mr. Matt, volunteered to test-smoke it for us. He said he's been smoke-free for a few months, but home-grown tobacco doesn't count, plus, he owes us a solid. Anyone else who'd like to take up a smoking habit, hit us up in a year. We'd be happy to be your pushers! ;)

This weekend.

I've been under the weather this weekend, so I've been a bit behind on the photos.

We have decided to repurpose the wood from the chicken tractor. We'll find a good use for it I'm sure.

Here's Matilde helping to cleanup the neighborhood with Papa and Chacha. She suggested we find one of these things in her size!

Here's Evan having WAY too much fun with her Papa's leaf blower!

Ladybugs

We added these friendly bugs to our potatoes. Hopefully, they will take care of the bugs that are attempting a takeover.
