Chicken Yard

Andy was hard at work yesterday morning building a pen for our poultry. We can and will let them out to free range, but they really don't need too much space. The compost pile is all of their dreams come true, so for now they'll be just fine in their new hangout area. They now have a space all their own, and we have a yard that can be used for entertaining, playing, and just plain sitting! The Donnas have done a nice job fertilizing and greening up our grass now we can enjoy it!

Time for a good ol' fashioned barn raising!

Andy is so fantastic! He has done a great job making this door. He was so patient with us trying to decide how we finally wanted it and figured out all of the proper measurements. He's perfect and so is this door! It's marvelous! I can't wait to see it painted/stained and mounted.

Tilly asked me today if I liked our farm. She told me she really liked our farm. I asked her what makes our yard a farm and she said that. Every farm has one of those! (Pointing at the shed. Our barn!)
That makes me smile.
