They're baaaaaack!

Our flock has grown!  We now have four more broilers to round out our family. After speaking with the nice woman at the new farm store, I think we may let these birds grow for another ten weeks depending.

Now.....what to name them?
Any suggestions?

The Chicken Tractor

Andy fixed up the chicken tractor right before heading out of town, and he did a great job! He added a ladder and a nesting box for our girls and they are enjoying their time in the grass. It's warming up a tad, but should cool off again. I hope they continue to like it even in the cool evenings to come.

Easter eggs!

Today, Andy found a beautiful mint green egg in the chicken coop! What a fun sight to see. More eggs! That means our other Donnnna, the Russian Orloff, should be laying soon. I am beyond excited to see more of these green eggs! I love it!

One of the Betsy's

That's what the girls decided on....the Betsy's. The egg layers are the Donnas, and I suppose Betsy sounded meaty enough!
