I noticed my perfect little berry missing yesterday afternoon, so I asked everyone present if they had seen it. Immediately, Matilde asked which strawberry I was talking about. I showed her a picture of it and asked if she had eaten it. She said, "I don't know what you're talking about!" I gave her a look. You know which look I'm talking about, and she shouted, "but it was RIPED!!!" That's when I snapped the picture.

Posse on Delridge
Yesterday morning, the girls and I were headed to the bus stop and we ran into our little friend. We have been trying to catch this guy for a while now without success. Evan stated that he now has street smarts and can dodge cars and people with the best of them. I just eyeballed that girl. Street smarts! Ha!

I'm back!
And so are our raspberries! I transplanted two more plants and replaced the netting, but boy did I fight those birds trying to get it up. Those girls love those leaves! I hope they last. I miss walking out back and watching the kids stuffing themselves full of berries right off the plant. It's a good feeling.

Sneaky Rabbit
I like to sneak rabbit meat into our meals. This time I added it to our bean soup and no one was the wiser. Unfortunately for me, the kids don't care if it's beef, chicken, or rabbit so my efforts are in vain. I suppose it's a great thing they aren't picky about their meats. It doesn't stop me from pretending they'd be grossed out if they knew the truth. ;)
