I'm back!
And so are our raspberries! I transplanted two more plants and replaced the netting, but boy did I fight those birds trying to get it up. Those girls love those leaves! I hope they last. I miss walking out back and watching the kids stuffing themselves full of berries right off the plant. It's a good feeling.

Raspberries
This tiny plant is such a nice sight considering the chickens wiped them out last spring. Darn Donnas!

R.I.P. Raspberries
Looks like the chickens got the best of these berries. Andy pulled them out today, and we will plant or transplant something in it's place soon. I hope for more raspberries, but we'll have to talk about it.

Not too bright, but still cute! & Raspberries
I dug up the front boxes today and the girls "helped" me move the grass. It was a good idea, but they didn't make it too far!

----
The raspberries are now boxed in and protected by a net. We'll see if it helps to keep the hens from eating up all future growth.

Raspberries
I cleaned up the raspberries a bit. Weeded and removed the bricks that were lining the far side. The family that owned the home before us REALLY liked to decorate with broken bricks and chunks of concrete. Yikes! They are (were) everywhere. We plan to box the berries in and possibly line it with mesh of some sort to keep the chickens from eating all of our leaves and berries. Those sneaky little Donnas!
