A week apart

I took the first photo on June first and the other late this afternoon. What a difference a little sunshine, some water, and a threat can do for a sunflower's growth! 
Short Round on the right, however, didn't budge an inch (vertically!).

Our seeds are finally here! They have arrived, and they are teeny tiny!  

Their leaves will be gigantic and their potency even greater....any guesses what these seeds are for??

It's TOBACKY!! Good, ol' fashioned, roll-your-own tobacco. We are planning on growing it, drying it, and smoking it this year....oh, and vomiting after our first drag!  Hahaha 

Two days..

These guys caught my eye this week. The lettuce is growing under the warmth of the corn stalks, and the green onions are unstoppable! 

Veggies popping up in the winter...What great sight to see!

This onion was absolutely delicious.  It was also very large!  It's satisfying to know that I planted that seed myself.  I know I am constantly tooting my horn, but at times I can't figure out what we did differently this year to make it work...to actually make things grow!  I'm not gloating.  I'm flabbergasted. Hahaha!
