Strawberries, strawberries everywhere!
The strawberry plants are still growing wild and free both in the planter boxes and in the hanging planters. They all look like they will produce wonderful fruit. We just cannot wait! Now our only concern is our main predator....Matilde! She gobbles them up every chance she gets. We'll have to keep a watchful eye on that little strawberry sneaker.

Not the best picture...
But it's a picture!
This funny looking "lantern" is a tomatillo! Salsa verde is coming to a canning jar soon! I can already taste it!

(Yesterday) Standing tall
Our corn is really growing. It towers over that buff guy that lives in our house!

We've graduated to tassels.
Our corn is tall, strong, and fabulous! It is growing and growing and is now showing tassels up top. That means our silks will be here soon and corn shortly after that! It's perfect!

Vines
According to our seed packets, we have the pumpkin and cantaloupe plenty of space, but it appears to be crowded. Andy put up stakes to give them someplace to grow. We will see if that works. The fruit is quite heavy, so we may need to better think this one through for next year!

That's a BIG salad!
Here are a ton of salad greens and radishes that we planted in order to use our empty space. The melons will take longer to grow, so we planted lettuces that are quick to mature in the mean time.

My favorite!
Green beans!
Let's hope our harvest this year is better than last year. We ate plenty and froze two gallon bags of beans. It may be tough to beat, but my fingers are crossed!

Hard work pays off.
I took a short break this week since I sent a few extras on Saturday. I'm back now!

Evan helped to clean up the front parking strip. We needed to prep the area so we can set in our new boxes. She worked really hard and was happy to do it, believe it or not. She loves contributing, but I'm not sure if she volunteered because its fun or because it will soon house corn stalks! Whatever her motive, we appreciate her and her hardwork!
